This tube has a light gray coating and is ribbed for additional strengh. The tube contains an internal motor, gears and electric brake. The motor is supplied with a limit switch and thermal protection. Manual overrides are also available for a slight additional cost. This permits the curtain to be manually raised or lowered in case of electrical failure.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eTo raise the curtain, the aluminum tube at the center begins to rotate and climbs up the curtain rolling up the upper and lower portions simultaneously. The curtain rolls flat with no highly stressed areas and its operation is barely audible. The torque reaction is taken by a car on the motor that runs on a suspended arm that remains stationary. Alternatively, the torque can be transmitted through a belt that rolls up with the curtain.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe controls are accessible and contained in a supplied all steel enclosure. The electrical supply is 110 volt 10 amp single phase. A key-operated 3 position-spring-loaded switch is supplied for the control of the curtain.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe curtain consists of two equal section. The lower section is constructed of vinyl while the upper section is either vinyl or Fleximesh. The vinyl is 18oz (0.61 kg\/m2) vinyl coated polyester, resistant to staph, rot and mildew and with similar appearance and embossed on both sides. Fleximesh is 7oz (0.24 kg\/m2) vinyl coated polyester capable of resisting UV degradation. The vinyl and Fleximesh meet or exceed the California Fire Marshall and NFPA standards for flame resistance.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe top edge of the curtain can be either a hem containing #4 spur grommets spaced at 12\" (305mm) centers for mounting on an existing track or a pocket to contain a 1.6\" (40.6mm) diameter pipe for mounting directly to a beam.
